Our Story

We started on 17 August 2024 with a single product: Insha Tallow Glow. At the time, more and more people were rediscovering ancestral skincare and paying close attention to what they put on their skin. That was the world Tallow Glow was born into, and it was the world we already lived in as a family.

It started with our daughter

When our daughter was born, she developed eczema in her first days. We managed to clear it, and she is a healthy, happy child today. But it left us with a question we could not put down: what actually causes eczema in the first place? My wife had lived with it for years too, so this was personal on more than one front.

So we read, and we kept reading. A lot of it pointed back to gut health and to how much of the modern diet leans on processed seed oils. We started looking again at the pure, traditional fats people relied on for generations, tallow and beef tallow among them, and the part they play in a healthier everyday routine.

What we actually learned

Here is the part that changed how we think. Once eczema flares, calming it with natural, gentle alternatives is slow work. It takes time, patience, and a lot of effort, and there are no shortcuts.

The bigger lesson was about prevention. When the skin barrier is looked after every day, before anything goes wrong, it tends to stay healthy, and the kind of flare-ups we had been chasing are far less likely to show up at all. Care for the barrier first, and you spend far less time repairing it later.

The answer was never a cure. It was that a skin barrier cared for every day rarely gets to the point of breaking down.

From the diet to the skin

The same thinking turned outward, to what goes on the skin. For irritation, the usual route was a steroid cream from a doctor or dermatologist, reached for after the problem had already taken hold. We wanted the opposite: something simple enough to use every day, that keeps the barrier in good shape so you are not always playing catch-up.

That is where tallow-based skincare fit. Formulated well, it is deeply nourishing and works with the skin over time rather than against it. So we made our own, at home, and kept refining it until the formula was right. That balm became Tallow Glow.

A family project

Our daughter is growing up now, and INSHA has grown into something the whole family builds together. We homeschool our children, and this is part of how they learn. They are hands-on with how the products are made, what good ingredients look like, and what careful production really means. It is a business, but it is also our kitchen table.

Where we are now

Since that first balm, our small family range has grown. We keep looking for good, honest alternatives to the modern, seed-oil-based options that fill most shelves, so the people who use our products have a simpler choice.

We are still a family, still in Dubai, and still making things we are happy to use on our own skin first.
